The BAUAKADEMIE OÖ relies on environmental technology ECOTURBINO

Both water and energy saving, as well as natural limescale and corrosion protection are a major topic at the Upper Austrian BAUAkademie with a view to climate protection and CO2 neutrality.

The BAUAkademie OÖ serves as an inter-company training facility for the construction industry as the third pillar in the trial BAU apprenticeship training. This approach, which goes beyond the classic model of vocational school and in-company training, makes Austrian skilled worker training an international model and thus strengthens the reputation of the Austrian construction industry in Europe and the world.

The BAUAkademie Oberösterreich has set itself the goal of becoming CO2 neutral and has already taken a number of measures such as switching to wood chip heating and installing a photovoltaic system. Another topic, hot water consumption, was tackled this year. The Bauakademie also has a hotel that can accommodate a total of 115 guests. When you take a shower every day, a lot of warm water and thus a large amount of energy is used. To counteract this, the ECOTURBINO® water and energy saving system was installed in all showers. With the patented “Mini-Turbine” the water and energy consumption in the shower could be reduced by 36% while maintaining the same comfort for the guests.

“We are delighted with the results of Rabmer’s ECOTURBINO® water and energy saving system. This saves us operating costs and we are pleased that we have come one step closer to our goal of becoming CO2 neutral,” says the managing director of the BAUakademie OÖ Harlad Kopececk, MBA.
