The Marco Polo Alpina at Hochkönig relies on ECOTURBINO®
Saving operating costs and doing something good for the environment – these are 2 good reasons to invest in sustainable products. The Marco Polo Alpina – family hotel on the Hochkönig is backing this motto and has equipped all its hotel rooms with the ECOTURBINO® in October 2020. In the future, this will not only save an extremely large amount of water and operating costs, but will also reduce the energy used for hot water production and thus, of course, CO2 emissions. This is good for the environment and for the guests, who will be able to enjoy a sustainable 100% shower in the hotel. The ECOTURBINO, the only water-saving system for the shower where the shower jet and shower comfort remain the same, is the must-have for sustainable hotels.
The Marco Polo Alpina family hotel (www.alpina-hinterthal.at) focuses on the feel-good factor for its guests and offers traditional and warm hospitality in the midst of the beautiful nature around the Hochkönig. Carefree, fun and relaxation are included, a clear indication that comfort is also written BIG in the spa and wellness area.
The advantages immediately recognised and implemented
It is all the more important that a reduction in water consumption in the showers does not lead to any loss of comfort for the guests. Hotel director Dominik Rigaud therefore tested the ECOTURBINO for the first time in the 2019/2020 winter season and observed whether there would be any complaints from his guests. Of course, this was not the case and thus in October 2020, all rooms were equipped with the ECOTURBINO WR9 in order to make the most of all savings opportunities in the showers.
At the Marco Polo Alpina, this measure saves around €8,000 in operating costs, around 8,000 m3 of water and around 12 tonnes of CO2 per year.
