The student union in Hagenberg does it - saving water with the ECOTURBINO
Living, working, relaxing – for students, the dormitory is their second home. The student residence in Hagenberg was built from 1997 to 2004 right next to the University of Applied Sciences and the Hagenberg software park near the town center and offers 553 places.
Lower costs benefit students
Affordable housing is an important factor, especially for young people and especially for students. If the costs for energy and electricity rise, unfortunately the rental costs usually also rise. In order to prevent this and to enable the students to have affordable rooms, the Hagenberg residence management decided to install the ECOTURBINO in around 300 showers – since then a lot of water, energy and costs have been saved, which is not only good for the environment, but also for the students benefits
Save water, energy and costs
A total of 300 showers in the student residence in Hagenberg were equipped with the ECOTURBINO water-saving system. This means that more than € 37,000 in costs, more than 5,100 m³ of water and a total of 59,000 kg of CO2 can be saved annually. This means that the ECOTURBINO pays for itself after only 4 months of purchase.
