The Klosterbräu in Seefeld relies on ECOTURBINO®
Saving costs is very much in vogue in times like these – if this is possible in combination with climate protection, then all the better! Hotel director Wolfgang Riess from the 5* Hotel Klosterbräu in Seefeld i. Tirol (https://www.klosterbraeu.com/) was already intensively concerned with how he could further reduce his water consumption and the associated costs during the first lockdown in March 2020, despite having already installed energy-saving shower heads. When he read the report on the ECOTURBINO® water-saving system in the ÖHV newsletter, he took notice and immediately ordered a test piece. The practical test convinced him immediately, because the water flow in the hand shower could be reduced from an already low 10 litres/min to just over 8 l/min, without him noticing any negative influence on the water jet quality. The ECOTURBINO, the only water-saving system for the shower where the shower spray and shower comfort remain the same, is the must-have for sustainably managed hotels.
The 5* Wellnesshotel Klosterbräu in Tyrol (https://www.klosterbraeu.com/) has already received several awards for its wellness oasis and focuses on pure relaxation for its guests. The beautifully appointed rooms offer the highest level of comfort, and the showers are of course also of high quality. Low water pressure is a no-go, less than 10l/min was not possible until now. But with the ECOTURBINO, it is now possible to reduce the flow rate by another 20% without spoiling the guests’ showering pleasure.
The advantages were immediately recognised and implemented
The practical test on site immediately convinced hotel director Wolfgang Riess. All rooms were quickly equipped with the ECOTURBINO WR9, which has already saved a lot of water, energy and CO2 during the summer season.
In the Klosterbräu, about 400 m3 of water, 5 tons of CO2 and € 2,000 in operating costs are saved annually. It is a good feeling for the hotel and its guests that this is another important step towards climate protection.
